Communication
and influence
What you learn in the communication and influence training
We all have to deal with the following situations:
- That conversation with your manager, about that situation during the meeting that you would like to discuss
- You sometimes want to go somewhere else on vacation, but your partner doesn’t.
- You have a new product or project that you want to market.
- You want to negotiate the price of something you want.
- You think you deserve a higher salary.
It's one thing to have a great idea. It's something else to be able to sell it
Topics covered are:
- Levers and pitfalls of influence.
- Different language patterns and preferences.
- Increasing your listening skills and learning to ask the right questions to get straight to the core.
- Building rapport with your conversation partner, also on the phone and in online meetings.
- Learning to estimate how someone shapes their thinking or language, so that you can respond to that
Topics covered are:
- How to draw attention to you and keep it
- Which words are really effective in communication.
- How to use metaphors, anecdotes and personal stories to involve the other
- How you reach everyone in the same presentation, not just the people who happen to think the same way as you
- Body language: the most telling postures, gestures, and other non-verbal cues to pay attention to
In particular, we provide training for people who
- Want to build better relationships.
- Want to understand others better (and faster).
- Have a lot to do with people, such as teachers, managers, salespeople, coaches and recruiters.
- Want to learn to present better.
- Have trouble getting their ideas out there.
- Want to learn how to convince people.
